ÉDITORIAL.

- First, we can say that creating visit counters for web site is not so original. You just have to search for "COUNTER" with any search web engine and you'll get a lot of site witch provide that kind of service. So what ?
Simply to offer "ANOTHER WEB COUNTER" totally different !

First, I had the idea to get a counter, but I didn't find a counter witch could match the design of my web sites. I search for a discreet one, thin enough , with the same background color as my page in order to display digits only. I wish one with vertical display ,then I could glide it on one side of the page. After a long time of research, and as I didn't find it, I decided to raise the challenge.
I create the first version of NVC Counters in 2001 December (NVCBASIC).By now, I insist on thanking all subscribers (300 on 2003 January). They encourage me to create another version of NVC Counters (2003 March) those I wished totally alterable.

NVC Counters are free of charge, nevertheless, in order to promote them, they display NVC's Logo. The new version (NVCX) isn't so 100% alterable and I wish you don't get angry about me ;o)

Counters are generated and administrated in two different ways .
What can do NVCBASIC and what can do NVCX ?

- The installation of NVC Counters is exactly the same way for NVCBASIC or NVCX. For first version subscribers (before 2003 March), nothing changed. Your NVC Counter works as well, on the other hand, administration is totally changed and adapted in order to administrate any counter. You can create your counters on line by now (15 Maxi).

Administration page :

COUNTERS
To modify your counter, simply click the link "MODIFY" opposite the Idcount corresponding in the table "Your Counters". Same same for delete a counter.

To create a new one, simply click the right link and your new counter will be availlable immediatly.
A counter with default settings is created for both types of counters, you can also immediatly change the settings.

When you click the link MODIFY, your real counter is diplayed on the left side of the page. Click on the button to refresh the picture in order to see the changes.

YOUR ACCOUNT
You can change your personal informations, change your PASSWORD witch was delivered to you when you subscribed, or delete your account.
You can also subscribe or unsubscribe to NVC's newsletter

BACKUP
You can receive by mail theses informations :
- Your personal informations
- Your access codes
- All settings of all of your counters.

TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS :

NVC Counters are generated with Php4/MySql applications . The pictures created are in PNG format. The average size of a counter displaying 10 digits + NVC logo is 700 octets . (Maximum size known is 1158 octets).
Counters dislay number of real visits on your page. IP adresses are blocked during the connexion to your site.

The new version of the site is realized with Php4. The panels at administration pages and the sample Gallery NVCBASIC and the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) were realized with Flash® and make a lot of calls to Php4/MySql complementary applications. In order to use these elements of the site, you must get plug-in FlashPlayer® 6.

PLANS :
2 new types of counters are under consideration and will probably grow at summer 2003.
